こんにちは
寒くなってきましたね。昨日は久しぶりにキャリアコンサルタントの更新講習に行きました。
大尊敬している先生の講習。
とても興味を持ちながら受けることができました。
会社以外の【サードプレイス】を持つのは、
様々な意味からおすすめです。
サードプレイスとは、家（ファーストプレイス）でも主に自分が勤めている会社や通っている学校（セカンドプレイス）でもない、「第三の居場所」 のことです。
カフェやジム、コミュニティだったり、学びの場だったり、人によってその場所は違います。
私にもいくつかのサードプレイスがあって、キャリアコンサルティングやコーチングで学ぶ場はまさにサードプレイス。
会社と家だけだと繋がる人や価値観が固定化されてしまいがちですが、
普段とは違う場所や違う人に会って、その場の雰囲気や異なる価値観に触れるだけで、自分の中の景色がガラッと変わるのを感じます。
特に、昨日の講習では、他の参加者の考え方や経験を聞くたびに、
「そんな視点があるんだ」
「その捉え方、素敵だな」
と刺激をもらえる場面がありました。
サードプレイスの良さって、
学びもありますし、人との出会いもあります。
年齢も背景も違う人たちと対話することで、
「自分はまだまだ成長できる」
「もっと世界は広い」
そんな感覚が広がっていきます。
自分の視野が広がるのです。
そして、仕事の悩みも家のことも、ずっと同じ場所にいると視界が狭くなってしまうけれど、
サードプレイスに行くと、不思議と自分の立ち位置がクリアになる時があります。
外側から客観的に自分を見直すような感覚。
それが、自分の軸を整えてくれる手助けにもなって、また頑張ろうと思えます。

Hello.
It’s getting colder these days, isn’t it?
Yesterday, I attended the renewal training for Career Consultants for the first time in a while.
The instructor was someone I deeply respect, and I found myself fully engaged throughout the session.
I truly believe that having a “third place” outside of your workplace is beneficial in many ways.
A third place refers to a space that is neither your home (the first place) nor your workplace or school (the second place), but a “third environment” where you can relax and simply be yourself.
For some people, it may be a café, a gym, a community, or a learning space—its form varies from person to person.
I have several third places of my own, and the spaces where I study career consulting and coaching are exactly that for me.
When your life revolves only around work and home, the people you meet and the values you encounter tend to become fixed.
But stepping into a different environment, meeting new people, and being exposed to different atmospheres and perspectives can dramatically shift the way you see things.
During yesterday’s session, every time I heard the thoughts and experiences of other participants, I found myself thinking,
“Oh, that’s another way of seeing it,”
“That perspective is wonderful,”
and I felt deeply inspired.
The beauty of a third place lies in the learning it offers, and the encounters it brings.
By talking with people from different generations and backgrounds, you start to feel:
“I still have so much room to grow,”
“There’s a much bigger world out there,”
and your perspective naturally expands.
Your field of vision becomes broader and clearer.
And when you stay in the same place—physically or mentally—for too long, your outlook can narrow.
But when you spend time in your third place, there are moments when your sense of direction suddenly becomes clearer.
It feels as though you’re viewing yourself objectively from the outside.
That experience helps realign your inner compass and gives you the energy to move forward again.
I truly hope you create your own third place.
It will add more color and richness to your life.
