先日起きたら書いてあった子供の言葉。
まだ野球を始めて1年強。全然まだまだだけれど、
その心意気だけはすごいものだと感じた。
なかなか自分が「これだ」というものに出会えない時がある。
私も今のキャリア支援もしかり、客室乗務員になろうと思ったのも、
大学3年生の秋に出会った講師に憧れて（講師がJ系航空会社出身で就職支援をしていた）なので、中高大学と何をしたいかを模索した時期も多い。
ケーキ屋、ピアノの先生、英語の先生、カフェを開く、調理師、バリスタ、ホテルスタッフ、ツアーガイド、通訳、翻訳、マスコミ、記者などなど、いろんな職業を考え、実際専門学校の資料を取り寄せたり、職場を見にいったり、本やテレビで実際に働いている人の声を参考にしたりしながら、やりたいことを探して来た。
部活もがんばっていたけれど、ソフトテニス部というなかなか仕事にできるものではなかったし、これという抜きん出たスキルもなかったので、余計に迷った。
でも、探して探して探しまくると、何かしら自分の「これ」というものが見つかるものだと、大学3年の時の講師との出会いで思ったのだ。
そのためには行動すること。
家にいてもなかなかそういったものに出会えない。興味があると思ったら調べてその現場に行ったり、資料や説明会にいったり、人に会ったりしてみる。それを続けていれば、いずれは「これ」というものに出会えるはずだ。
それには「みつけたい」という意思も大事だと思う。
それがないと、どうしても『みつけようとする脳内のアンテナ』が張れないからだ。
探究中の方でもしやりたいことを見つけたい方はぜひ行動してみてほしい。
そして、『出会うタイミング』もあるので、長い目でみて実行してみて欲しい。

It has only been a little over a year since he started playing baseball. He still has a long way to go, but I think his spirit is amazing.
Sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for.
I’m currently working in career support, and I decided to become a flight attendant because I was inspired by a teacher I met in the fall of my third year of university (the teacher was a former J-Airline employee who was providing job support), so I spent a lot of time searching for what I wanted to do in middle school, high school, and university.
I considered various careers, such as cake shop owner, piano teacher, English teacher, opening a cafe, chef, barista, hotel staff, tour guide, interpreter, translator, media, reporter, etc., and I actually ordered materials from vocational schools, visited workplaces, and read books and TV to hear from people who actually work there, while searching for what I wanted to do.
I was working hard at my club activities, but I was in the soft tennis club, which wasn’t something I could easily find work in, and I didn’t have any outstanding skills, so I felt even more hesitant.
However, when I met a lecturer in my third year of university, I realized that if I search and search and search, I can find something that is just for me.
To do that, you have to take action.
It’s hard to find something like that if you just stay at home. If you find something that interests you, research it, go to the site, look at the materials and information sessions, and meet people.
If you keep doing that, you should eventually find “this”.
I think the will to “find” is also important.
Without that, you won’t be able to put up the “antenna in your brain that tries to find it”.
If you are searching and want to find something you want to do, please take action.
Also, there is a “timing when you meet”, so I want you to take a long-term view and try to implement it.
